DAY 1 – Kiev

     Arrive in Kiev and transfer to your hotel. Depending on when you arrive there may be time to explore the city or just relax after your journey. This afternoon we explore some of the key sights of Kiev, including the ancient St Sophia Cathedral, its bustling main boulevard Kreschatyk.

 

DAY 2 – Mezhigorye, Vinnitsa

     In the morning we will go to Mezhigorye (the former residence of the ex-president). You will see the famous estate, photos of which spread throughout the world’s media. Take a walk in the park, go down to the bank of the Dnieper. Hold a lesson where the president lived a few years ago. We return to Kiev and still have time to visit the observation deck and the Motherland monument. After lunch we will go to Vinnitsa, where we will see the largest musical fountain in Europe!

DAY 3 – Lviv

     In the morning, we go to Lviv by train. During the trip, we paddle time, playing conversational games in Russian and learning a new topic. We will arrive in Lviv in the afternoon, leave our luggage at the hotel and take a walk in the evening city. Lviv is renowned as one of the prettiest towns in Ukraine and its historic center has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DAY 4 – Lviv

     The day will begin with a lesson. After that, you will have an exciting quest for many beautiful sights of Lviv. Founded in the 13th century, Lviv is almost dripping with history and walking around its wide boulevards and large squares you will see Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture among many other types. You will visit the Lviv Opera House, the High Castle Park, Italian Courtyard and much more. In the evening we will go to the Carpathians by train.

DAY 5 – The Carpathian Mountains

     We stay on a local farmstead, a picturesque and very typical Carpathian village which is a superb base for exploring the mountains and the intriguing communities that live here. After the lesson we will prepare the national Ukrainian dish and enjoy the wonderful nature of the Carpathian Mountains. It is a day of rest, because tomorrow we will conquer the highest mountain in Ukraine!

DAY 6 – Hoverla

     Hoverla climbing! Mount Hoverla (2061 m) – is the highest peak of Ukraine. Nevertheless, the route to the top is not difficult but still a challenge. It’s an opportunity to test your strength and endurance. However, if you decide to take this step, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views and unforgettable experience.

DAY 7 – Chernivtsi

     This morning we leave our hosts and drive to Chernivtsi, situated in the foothills of the Carpathians. We will spend a few hours exploring some of the interesting buildings and monuments in the town. The town of Chernivtsi is the capital of the Bucovina region and is has many different ethnic influences from neighboring countries.

DAY 8 – Kamyanets-Podilsky

     Drive to Kamyanets-Podilsky, an attractive town dramatically situated on an island of rock and surrounded by a river. We visit the 11th-century castle, one of the most impressive in Ukraine, as well as the old quarter with its colorful buildings. It is our last stop in this journey. In the evening, we take a night train to Kiev.

Lesson topic: Review.
